Welcome to the Upper Room!
Vision: “Upper Room Utah” is a room without walls, a mobile prayer ministry serving the Body of Christ in Northern Utah, devoted to:
- declaring the heart of the Father and the beauty of Jesus as we grow and learn together what it means to worship Him in Spirit and Truth
- providing a place of refreshing and rest
- contending for unity among His people
Location: We meet at various churches throughout the valley, to serve the Body of Christ and support existing prayer ministries. We are not confined to one building or organization. God calls His house a “House of Prayer for all nations”…and our worship and intercession is an offering, a feast for His heart. We join with Jesus in His intercession for His Church, His beautiful Bride, to arise and take her place before the throne of God, in worship and intercession, ushering in His Kingdom on earth.

Format: We use the “Harp and Bowl” model of prayer, developed by teams at IHOP (International House of Prayer in Kansas City). The model incorporates worship and prayer set to music, all based on passages of scripture, and has been described as a “Singing Seminary”, because of the focus on meditation on the Word. We pray and worship for 2 hours on Thursday evenings at 6-8pm, beginning with worship, moving into a time of intercession for various needs, then “Worship With the Word”, where we focus on a specific passage or verse from the Bible, and sing/pray/worship through the themes that emerge as led by Holy Spirit. We will be offering training in the near future for those interested in serving with us as prayer leaders, singers, or musicians.
